The Mayflower Society (18 Winslow Street) hosts the first Pilgrim Progress of 2026. Stepping off from the Mayflower Society House at 6 pm, you can follow along with the Pilgrim reenactors as they walk by Plymouth Rock, up Leyden Street to the top of Burial Hill where a short Pilgrim worship service will take place.
Note: The Pilgrim Progress was instituted by the Town of Plymouth in 1921 as part of the 300 year anniversary of the Landing of the Pilgrims. This reenactment of the Pilgrims going to church after that first harsh winter when half their number died is based on a written account by Isaack de Rasieres, a visitor who came to Plymouth in 1627 and observed the settlers gathering for worship.
Spooner House (27 North Street) may be a humble home dating from 1748, but it offers a great glimpse into over 200 years of domestic life in Plymouth. Next door to the Plymouth Center for the Arts and a few steps from the Mayflower Society, this is a great addition to your historical First Fridays tour.

Plymouth Center for the Arts (11 North Street) features lovely acoustic music by Louise Adams Acoustic Duo and watercolorist Tony Visco will demonstrate his amazing artistic skills. The New England Watercolor Society is exhibiting "Celebrating New England" and the Center's newly-inaugurated Sculpture Garden is a lovely way to see sculptures by artists from the region. Free light refreshments and wine cash bar; the Artisan Shop is open for your shopping pleasure.
Vinyl Lunatic Records (65 Main Street) hosts J Place Duo as it performs its acoustic roots, blues, and soul featuring singer and harmonica ace J Place and guitarist Darren King. As a stripped-down iteration of the full Massachusetts band J Place & The Rockers, they frequently perform authentic blues, folk, and R&B covers as well as original tracks in front of Vinyl.
All Good Art (65 Main Street) Mike, Bridgette and Joey will host an opening reception for their next Local Artists Exhibit. Come and meet the artists, view and purchase one of a kind original artwork, enjoy snacks and refreshments, and participate in a free community art activity.
The Art Shoppe (84 Court Street, 2nd floor) Learn how to carve soapstone in free mini-classes (offered for adults and older teens) every half hour from 5 - 8 pm. The Art Shoppe puts on a lovely spread of appetizers (also free) and is a great space for camaraderie and for browsing and purchasing Jessie and Eddy's amazing paintings and jewelry.
