First Fridays Plymouth

Museums & Tourism*

Pilgrim Progress at The Mayflower Society (18 Winslow Street) At 6 pm, step off from Mayflower House and re-enact a short walk to the original site of the first Fort Meetinghouse where the Pilgrims met for worship. Costumes are provided. Check Facebook for updates!

The Hedge House (126 Water Street) has free mini-tours during First Fridays from 5- 8 pm.

The Howland House (33 Sandwich Street) is open for self-guided tours. A fascinating way to see how Pilgrims lived, because they lived here!

Live music from local musicians…

Just 2 Guys at Plymouth See (4 North Street) hang out and play their brand of danceable music from 4 - 6 pm.

Raspberry Jam will be at Plymouth Center for the Arts (11 North Street) from 5 - 8 pm.

Hedge House features period rooms, historic artifacts, and a lovely garden overlooking Plymouth Harbor.

Arts for Everyone…

Wicked Wild Murders actors will be out and about on July 11. Lau Lapides’ actor-guides lead “who-done-its” on the streets of Plymouth. Let the company entertain you with a style that is uniquely their own. Look for us on Main Street!

Plymouth Center for the Arts (11 North Street)

"A Different Vision 2.0 " is helps people who are blind or visually impaired to “see” art with all their senses.

Raspberry Jam, our very local, very talented musicians perform in the front yard of the Center from 5 - 8. Grateful Dead, anyone?

Light refreshments served and the Artisan Shop is open!

The Art Shoppe (84 Court Street, 2nd floor) holds its First Fridays open house from 5 - 8. Jessie Fries and Eddy Murray always have ways to help you create cool crafts to take home. Plus, they serve complimentary food and drink, and have beautiful paintings and jewlery to buy.

Also, stop by other First Fridays art venues, including All Good Art (65 Main Street), where there are lots of opportunities to create your own art, or to view and purchase paintings, sculptures and ceramics by talented regional artists.

Shopping…

Sprezzatura (1 Main Street)

Shopping for vintage clothing, making your own mocktail with Mocktails and Masterpieces, finding out about Sprezzatura’s consignment program—all are great ways to start your First Fridays evening!

Other First Fridays participants include eKnits4U Studio and Gifts (62 Court Street, Shop #3), Black Dog Plymouth (14 Main Street), Something for Your Dust (16 Court Street), Heyday Supply (64 Court Street, Suite 1) and Yankee Woodcarvers (63 Court Street) are planning their events for First Fridays now. Check this space for details as they become available.

And so many places to drink and dine…

Plymouth is quickly becoming known for its food and drink scene. Check out the Mekhong Bad Decisions cocktail at Honey Baby, then hop over to Cork + Table for an amazing dish of Low Country shrimp and grits.

Or, at the other end of Main Street, start off your evening with an appetizer and a drink at Mallebar Brasserie, and then move on to the Artisan Pig for an amazing pizza. If you still need dessert, check out The Tasty’s luscious crème brûlée.
